Sarah McAbee is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Stand in the Gap, a non-profit foundation that emerged in response to the events of January 6, 2021. The treatment and legal challenges faced by the January 6th defendants shed a stark light on the flaws within the justice system. This pivotal moment ignited a passionate commitment to address these issues and stand up for the rights of those affected. Stand in the Gap was founded to provide essential support for January 6th defendants and their families.

THIS IS MY STORY
Hi there! Thank you for stopping by to dive into my story. Picture this: it all started with a call from the FBI to tell me they had apprehended my husband. Yep, you heard that right! January 6, 2021, was an historic day in our Nation - one that will forever be remembered. As the nation’s foundation called, Colt, along with many, heeded the call and went to our Nation’s capitol that day to stand up for what’s right, for our rights, for our future. And in August 2021, they came for him. Looking back on our lives, I feel like God prepared us for such a time as this. And specifically for me to be the voice for those who can't speak up for themselves. I'm on a mission to Stand in the Gap, quite literally, for our political hostages.
But hey, enough about that serious stuff! Let's kick back, get cozy, and delve into what makes me, well, me! I'm all about spreading joy, fighting for what's right, and having a blast along the way. So buckle up, because together, we're going to make sure justice is served for all!
